Plan of Salvation:
"For The Wages of Sin is Death,
But the Gift of God is
ETERNAL LIFE
through Christ Jesus our Lord"
Romans 6:23
But the Gift of God is
ETERNAL LIFE
through Christ Jesus our Lord"
Romans 6:23

8.) Jesus is the
means by which we acquire the free gift of
eternal life. No one can offer a gift except the one who
purchased
it by paying for it with His own life on the cross!

9.) Lord
literally means "boss" or "master". When someone establishes
a personal relationship with Jesus, they receive Him as both Savior and
Lord. As Savior, Jesus saves us from the penalty of our sin
(which is eternal separation from Him). As Lord, He demands
total control of a person's life.
10.) Jesus gains control, or becomes Lord and Savior, when a person repents and puts his faith (trust) in God:
a. To repent is to turn away from sin and self and to turn to Jesus Christ alone. Repentance is seeing sin for what it is, being sorry for that sin and what it has caused, confessing and being ashamed of our sin, having a genuine hatred for our sin, and turning from that sin to Christ.
b. We place our faith (trust) in Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is who He said He is. He is God who came to earth in the flesh and He is the only way to heaven (John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God"; John 14:6 "I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.") To believe means more than just believing a few facts about the historical person called Jesus (James 2:19 "... the devils also believe and tremble"). It means surrendering all that you are, to have all that He is. He becomes the final authority in your life.
As a person admits their sin before God and believes in Jesus (Places their trust in total surrender to Him), he crosses over across the bridge from where "man" is to where "God" is. He begins a new relationship with God and starts to experience a new and eternal life!
So receiving Christ involves turning to God from sin and self (repentance) and trusting (faith) Christ to come into your life, to forgive your sins, and to make you what He wants you to be.
So, how does one do that? Well, an easy way is to pray a prayer to the Lord. Remember, God knows your heart and is not concerned as much with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer:
Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Help me to live for your glory from this day forward. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
Does this prayer express the desire of your heart?
If it does, I invite you to pray this right now, with a genuine heart, and Christ will come into your life and establish a permanent personal relationship with you just like He promised!
If you received Christ into your life...
